Microphones:
– The Roger Touchscreen Mic 3 is a lanyard-style microphone, ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, or session leaders. It ensures their voice is heard clearly throughout the classroom. As the primary microphone, it enables the teacher to effectively guide the meeting and includes a conveniently located mute button for easy access when needed.

This microphone supports an unlimited number of Roger receivers and allows users with compatible Phonak hearing aids to connect directly, eliminating the need for NeckLoops.

– The Passaround Microphones are designed for use by students & teaching assistants, encouraging inclusive and interactive discussions.  The push-to-talk function ensures that only one microphone is active at a time, minimizing cross talk and maintaining a smooth flow of conversation.  The voice activated function allows for simple, hands-free use by automatically switching the microphone on when speech is detected.

DigiMaster Loudspeaker:
This advanced ‘Soundfield’ loudspeaker, with its 15 high-quality individual speakers, is classified as an assistive listening device.  It intelligently measures speech captured by the Roger microphones alongside the ambient noise within the environment, making real-time adjustments to ensure optimal signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). The sound is beamformed across the room, enhancing speech intelligibility for both hearing impaired and non-hearing impaired users alike.

NeckLoop Receiver:
For those with hearing difficulties, this receiver directly transmits speech from the Roger microphones to the hearing aid via the Telecoil setting.  Alternatively, headphones are available for general use by all attendees.

Support for All:
The Soundfield DigiMaster loudspeaker delivers crystal-clear audio coverage throughout the room.  For anyone present with hearing impairments, a NeckLoop receiver offers direct connectivity to their hearing aids, ensuring optimal sound accessibility.

Convenience:
This user-friendly system sets up in minutes, with all microphones conveniently stored in a single case that charges all units from a single plug.

Complete Integration:
Easily integrate with existing systems or utilise as a standalone two-way audio connection, ensuring that both in-person and online participants can engage fully in every meeting.

Flexibility:
The portable design enables use in any room or building.  If lessons take place in a different location, transportation is effortless as all equipment fits neatly into one case and one loudspeaker bag. Both setup and pack-away time only takes a few minutes and can be easily adapted to different room configurations, allowing for transport and use in alternative locations.

Personalisation:
We offer personalised solutions specifically designed to address your unique requirements, complete with a clear, customised user manual and comprehensive product training.

Secure Wireless Connection:
All the Roger units are wirelessly connected via a 2.4GHz encrypted connection, maintaining confidentiality.  With adaptive automatic frequency hopping, the system seamlessly switches frequencies when needed to avoid interference.

Charging & Storage:
The Roger microphones and receivers are stored in a lightweight, durable aluminium charging case.  All units are charged simultaneously on two 4-way racks, requiring only two power sockets.  The DigiMaster loudspeaker includes an adjustable tripod stand and storage bag, optimising portability of the system.

Connectivity for remote meetings:
For online meetings, the Roger system connects to a PC, enabling remote attendees to hear the discussion.  For anyone participating remotely, their voices are transmitted through both the DigiMaster loudspeaker and NeckLoop receivers if needed.

Customisation:
One of the standout features of the Phonak Roger range is its customisation capability, allowing it to accommodate varying numbers of participants and attendees.  The quantities listed serve as a starting point, you can adjust the quantity of each item to meet your specific requirements, ensuring optimal system performance.

FAQs

What is the warranty period?
All equipment includes a standard 2-year warranty, with the option to purchase an extended 5-year warranty.

Does this comply with the 2010 Equality Act?
All public buildings are required to comply with the 2010 Equality Act and provide reasonable adjustments for ALL disabilities, including hearing loss.  Traditionally, a fixed hearing loop is the standard solution, however the Roger System complies with the latest standard and much more.

What is battery life?
Almost all Roger products have a battery life of 8 – 10 hours.  Charging time from 0 – 100% is approximately 2 hours.

Is the system confidential?
Yes, provided all Roger units are in the same room.  If a NeckLoop receiver is missing then confidentiality could be breached.  In this scenario, you can quickly create a new network on the Touchscreen Mic and re-pair all units within the room in just a couple minutes to regain confidentiality.

How secure is the Roger network?
The Roger network is in the 2.4GHz bandwidth and is designed to be secure and tap-proof.  The system runs on a 128-bit AES encryption which guarantees secure transmission. Only Roger receivers connected to Roger microphones can receive the signal.

Is Roger liable to interference?
No, due adaptive algorithms the system monitors channels and simply ‘hops’ all units in the network to a free channel if any interference is detected.

Can I return products?
We offer a 30-day money back guarantee, provided all items are placed back into its original packaging and are in a sellable condition.

How do I purchase the equipment?
It is possible to buy though our website directly, but we highly recommend getting in contact with us directly where we can discuss your exact needs and create a bespoke package that meets your criteria.

Is it easy to alter the volume?
Yes, a simple menu layout on the Touchscreen mic allows easy volume changes in just a few clicks. Did you know that Roger technology will constantly measure speech and background noise, adjusting the volume automatically to maintain speech intelligibility.

What size room/meeting is this suitable for?
One DigiMaster 5000 loudspeaker can effectively cover a room of up to 100m².  Please note that additional loudspeakers cannot be connected to the network. The Passaround microphone is designed for students to share during questions and group discussions. In an average-sized classroom, four microphones are typically sufficient, though this may vary depending on the room’s size, shape, and seating layout. There are four NeckLoop receivers, intended for individual use (one per person).  If the end user has a compatible Phonak hearing instrument, they will be able to connect directly, without the need for a NeckLoop. However, some hearing-impaired users may find that the Soundfield loudspeaker provides sufficient enhancement in speech intelligibility.
